This is one of those hidden gems that truly deserves so much more recognition! I’m not a food expert, but I can confidently say this is hands down the best breakfast you’ll find in Istanbul—maybe even the best food, period. Every dish is bursting with authenticity, flavor, and heart. You can tell the lovely elderly woman who prepares the food pours all her life’s knowledge and love into each meal. The portions are generous, the prices are incredibly reasonable, and the host—a kind gentleman—welcomes you like family, making you feel right at home. I honestly can’t decide if this is the best breakfast I’ve ever had or just the best food I’ve ever tasted. It’s the kind of meal you keep eating even when you’re full, and it’s the kind of place you’ll happily travel across the city to enjoy just one more bite. If you’re in Istanbul, do yourself a favor and visit this place. Turkish cuisine at its absolute finest! You won’t regret it.

In our stay in Istanbul this was the Best Place to have breakfast in. The service was remarkably good and the food was delicious. The prices are fair and the environment is really nice. Many many locals come here in the morning, so you have the guarantee that this place is not only good but that it's also genuine Turkish cuisine. Definitely recommend!

My favourite meal in Istanbul :) Was looking for a breakfast for my last day and found this place. The manager and staff are lovely and welcoming, location has an authentic local charm you don’t get in very touristy areas, the food was flavourful and made with love. While solo dining I struggle to finish any meals and tend to feel unwell after however, I found myself ordering another crepe just so I could enjoy more of the delicious spreads! Coffee was also very good.

This restaurant stands out as the ultimate breakfast spot in the area! Their pastries, whether freshly made or brought from Izmir, are a delight. Personally, I can't get enough of their Boyoz – it's delicious and wonderfully crispy. The Su Börek is a must-try, and the quality of the Cheese and Olives is exceptional. It's a rare find to encounter a place that excels in every aspect. Adding to the experience, they play Spa music, creating a tranquil atmosphere that perfectly complements their therapeutic food. Don't hesitate to visit – it's undoubtedly worth the trip!

We had a boat tour but wanted to get to the dock early and then find a nearby lunch spot. I thought this looked both local but not too local for a tourist, if that makes sense. The owner was lovely and knows enough English to make service easy and the QR menu has pictures, which I found helpful as it is in Turkish. I was very impressed with both the egg and sausage and the crepe/mezze plates that we got - truly delicious. On the mezze, the cheese came with honey, which I loved, and the olives were the best I’ve had in Turkey so far this trip. The cafe latte and tea were also great and the atmosphere was calm and welcoming. Thank you!

Super nice cafe, we had a traditional breakfast and egg with roasting. We loved the flavor and the price is fair.
